This project is a team clollaboration for the international contest hosted by La Palma island´s city council. The main purpose of this project is to exploit the importance of FUENTESANTA´s hot springs, whose waters are unique in their specialty, classified as the best in Europe for its high salt content , temperature and carbon dioxide. 

 

The main goal our project pursued, was to cause the smallest possible footprint and reduce the environmental impact to a minimum. With the intention of establishing a dialogue with the landscape surrounding the spa , we wanted to integrate this into the architecture itself . The ground floor of the project, which corresponds to the spa program itself is carved into the ground. The landscape of basalt continues in our project conforming to accommodate the various rooms , creating a journey in harmony with the natural landscape that surrounds us . As we climb in elevation architecture will emerge, making the lower part of link between the natural and the built .
